Prince’s Island Park is surrounded by the Bow River. It’s located in the central part of Downtown Calgary. The park offers several picnic sites, playgrounds, pathways, hiking trails, art sculptures, flower gardens, water fountains and a cafe. This is a great place to escape the downtown crowds. During the summer weekdays, local workers often eat their lunch at the park or walk the pathways. The island is one of Calgary’s most popular event venue, several festivals and events held here each year. Local communities include Downtown, Inglewood, Eauclaire, Beltline and Connaught.
