Playgrounds & spray parks in Calgary

A playground, spray park and wading pool offer different kinds of play. Decide whether your visit needs dry equipment, water play or specific access features, then use the City's separate facility pages to identify a suitable location and check its details.

Use the comparison checklist

Match the play space to the visit

The City publishes a playground page and a separate inclusive playground directory. The inclusive guidance describes features such as accessible ramps, sensory elements and quieter play opportunities. Those categories help you ask better questions, but do not establish that every site has every feature. Read the location description for the equipment your group will actually use.

Treat water play as its own facility

The City's water-play page distinguishes spray parks, wading pools and outdoor pools, and supplies location and operating information. A playground beside a water feature does not mean the feature is operating whenever the park is accessible. Check the named facility's notice, washroom access and any operator conditions before planning an outing around water play.
