Discover how citizen science can help save our seas in this live, online workshopCurious about the seaweeds on your local shore?This engaging talk will introduce you to the Big Seaweed Search, a community science partnership between the National History Museum and Marine Conservation Society which monitors key indicator species of seaweed to help us learn more about changes in our marine environment.We’ll cover practical hints and tips for carrying out a Big Seaweed Search survey, from what to bring to recording your findings, and simple techniques for identifying some of the UK’s most common seaweeds.Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to build your skills, this session will give you the confidence to explore, identify, and contribute to our understanding of changing marine environments.Come along to get involved in this hands-on citizen science project!Date: Monday 6th July 2026Time: 18:00-19:00Open to all.
