Join us in person to empower your mind and body, thriving through every stage of menopause!Strong Mind, Strong Body: Thriving Through MenopauseThis educational wellness workshop, in an intimate setting, brings together three highly credentialed professionals—a neuroscientist, a holistic nutritionist, and an experienced Pilates instructor/personal trainer—to help women aged 40–50+ understand and confidently navigate peri-menopause and post-menopause. Over six hours, participants will receive evidence-informed education on what is happening in the female brain and body during these years, practical guidance on the types of movement that best support changing physiology, and clear nutritional strategies to fuel both brain and body. A catered, nutritious lunch and a small group size of just 15 women create a supportive and empowering learning environment.Meet your instructors:Dr Linda Andersen is a Brain Health Consultant with a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary and an MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Saskatchewan.Roxane Shymkiw is a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant with a Plant-based Nutrition Certificate from Cornell University and a Le Cordon Blue Diploma from the Tante Marie Culiinary Academy.Dagmar Viberg is a Pilates Instructor and canfitpro Personal Training Specialist with a B.Sc. of Phys. You'll receive a demo of the electromuscular stimulation apparel, an info session on pelvic floor health, and lots of give-aways!Who is this for?Women in peri-menopause (40–55):This age group will benefit by gaining clarity about the early brain and body changes of menopause so you can respond proactively with the right exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle strategies before symptoms become disruptive.Women in post-menopause (55+):This age group will benefit by learning how to protect cognitive health, maintain strength and mobility, and support long-term brain and body vitality with evidence-based practices tailored to this stage of life.The day is thoughtfully divided into four sessions of learning:Brain Health During MenopauseWe start the day with a one-hour neuroscience presentation explaining what is occurring in the brain before, during, and after menopause—helping women make sense of symptoms like hot flashes, sleep disruption, and brain fog so they feel informed and empowered with this knowledge. Practial solutions for dealing with symptoms will also be discussed.Nutrition for Hormonal TransitionsThis one-hour nutrition session explores how aging affects nutrient absorption and how targeted food choices can directly influence energy, cognitive function, and the menopause experience.Exercise Training Through MenopauseA 45-minute guided Pilates-based mat class is paired with education about why the exercise needs of women change during this life stage and which movements are most beneficial. This will give you the movement foundations to support your body.Pelvic Floor Health and ElectroMuscular StimulationFinally, a brief overview from our Sponsor of why pelvic health matters after menopause and ways pelvic therapy can address common concerns like leaking, pelvic pressure, discomfort and core weakness.
