June 28th Calgary Nature Journal Club Meet

Join fellow nature journalers for an outdoor meetup to sketch, observe and connect with Calgary Nature Journal Club and Friends of FishcreekJoin the Calgary Nature Journal Club for a relaxed and inspiring outdoor gathering where nature journalers, naturalists, artists, educators, and curious beginners come together to observe, sketch, write, and connect with the natural world.Whether you've been nature journaling for years or are just getting started, this meetup is an opportunity to slow down, share ideas, learn from one another, and enjoy a few hours immersed in nature.This session will take place entirely outdoors, so please come prepared for the weather and expect to spend several hours outside. You're welcome to bring a camping chair or blanket for added comfort, along with your favourite journaling supplies.Libby, host of the Calgary Nature Journal Club, and staff from Friends of Fish Creek will be on hand to share information about local conservation initiatives, answer questions, and offer guidance and encouragement as you work on your journal pages.No artistic experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to observe.Location: We will meet outside of the visitors centre and walk to our locations from there. Materials: Basic materials can be provided. We encourage you to bring your own! Please bring what you need to comfortably be outdoors. Please note: This event is designed for adults and older youth and is not suitable for young children.
