Read the designation, not just the park name

The City publishes off-leash information and explains that the posted sign takes precedence if it differs from a listing. An off-leash designation can cover only part of a park. Parking areas and connecting pathways can have separate conditions. Read the official location information before choosing where to enter, especially in a larger park with several uses.

Choose a workable layout

Check whether the specific area has fencing, gates, a loop route or open ground, and ask the City about any feature the listing does not describe. Do not infer a fenced enclosure or a separate small-dog area from a map marker. Review washroom information independently; facilities serving the wider park may not be beside the off-leash entrance.
