Business coaching in Calgary

A Calgary business coach can help with decisions and accountability, but not every business problem calls for coaching. Decide whether you need someone to challenge your thinking, teach a skill or produce a defined piece of work such as a sales process.

Coaching or a project?

A coach may ask questions and hold you to commitments; a consultant may be hired to produce an analysis or implement a process. Some providers offer both. Ask which role applies to the proposal and what remains your responsibility. Business Link and BDC publish business resources that can help you describe the problem before paying for ongoing support.

Make progress observable

Choose a near-term business decision or behaviour to examine, such as making a hiring plan or consistently following up on sales enquiries. Ask how the coach would establish a starting point and review progress without promising revenue results. Discuss confidentiality, conflicts involving other clients and whether sessions create notes or recordings. An initial conversation should leave you clearer about the proposed work, not committed to an undefined programme.
