Compare auto-detailing quotes, not package names

A cheaper quote isn't necessarily a better deal. First check whether both quotes cover the same vehicle condition, work and expected result. Otherwise you're comparing different jobs.

Directory coverage

One business currently listed; side-by-side comparison is not available.

Names and category assignments come from directory records. Current services and contact details have not been independently confirmed. Directory order is alphabetical, not a recommendation.

A directory listing isn't a market comparison. Use the checklist below with providers you find here or elsewhere; don't treat directory order as a recommendation.

Put the same job to each provider

Ask each provider to separate cleaning, paint correction and any protective treatment in the proposed scope. Which preparation steps are included, and what aftercare applies? These questions help distinguish packages; they do not imply that every provider offers each service.

Send the same description and photos to each business. Explain your main concern and ask what can realistically be improved. Keep any inspection requirement with the quote; an estimate based on photos is not necessarily the final price.

Compare what is included

Write down the exact areas or surfaces covered and the work excluded. Ask how the business handles work that falls outside the original scope. A useful quote makes it clear when your permission is needed for an additional charge.

Compare the result and its limits

Ask what outcome the provider expects, what may remain, and what happens if the result doesn't match the agreed work. For a treatment sold with a warranty, ask for the written terms and any maintenance conditions. Don't substitute a badge or a star rating for those answers.

Compare the practical commitment

Record drop-off and collection arrangements, the expected time without the vehicle, any aftercare requirements, and cancellation terms. The right option has to work for your schedule as well as your budget.

Your comparison sheet

  • Vehicle and condition described: use the same details for every quote.
  • Work included and excluded: keep the provider's wording.
  • Total price and possible extras: mark anything not yet confirmed.
  • Expected result and limits: record promises in writing.
  • Timing, aftercare and cancellation: confirm before paying a deposit.

If a provider hasn't answered a question, write "not confirmed." It isn't a zero price or proof that a service isn't offered.
