About The Esthetic Institute Training Center

The Esthetic Institute Training Center (TEI) is a post-secondary education facility in Calgary, Alberta, founded in 2009. It offers licensed and accredited diploma programs and over 70 certificate courses in esthetics and spa training, with a focus on both theory and hands-on practical experience to prepare students for the industry. Programs cover facials (Levels I and II Advanced), body treatments, hair removal methods including waxing, Brazilian waxing, body sugaring, and threading, as well as manicures and pedicures with training in nail anatomy, disorders, sanitation under the Canada Health Act, massages, polish application, paraffin wax, and hot oil treatments. Additional courses include makeup artistry fundamentals (Level I) and advanced clinical esthetics using Health Canada-approved devices for laser hair removal, cosmetic laser/IPL, fractional/RF treatments, tattoo removal, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, and neuromodulators. TEI delivers training in blended (online theory plus in-person practical), traditional (textbook plus in-person), or hybrid formats. It operates two campuses: one in South Calgary at 4110 - 7005 Fairmount Drive SE (T2H 0J1) in Southeast Calgary, and another in North Calgary at 1351 32 Ave NE (T2E 7Z5), serving students throughout the city. With CIDESCO affiliation, graduates receive industry-recognized diplomas and certificates. TEI has earned the Consumer Choice Award and maintains 17 specialized instructors across its locations. The on-site student spa at the South Calgary campus provides affordable services performed by trainees under instructor supervision, following educational protocols.
