Why the older Canmore name leads here
The City’s old Canmore Park page redirects through its former West Confederation address to the current West Confederation Park page. Its public-washroom directory also labels the West Confederation spray park and washroom at 2020 Chicoutimi Drive NW as previously known as Canmore Park. Those are direct City links between the names, not an inference from a nearby business listing.
The current park page also mentions the name North Capitol Hill Park. Use West Confederation Park and the Chicoutimi Drive address when checking current City facility information. This is a Calgary park guide, not information about the town of Canmore.
Access, courts and playfields
The City lists 2020 Chicoutimi Drive NW as the park address and places the parking lot off 19 Street and Chicoutimi Drive NW. Its normal listed park hours are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.; check notices and the status of the facility you plan to use before travelling.
The features page lists tennis courts, ball diamonds, pathways, benches and picnic tables. If you are organizing a game or group activity, check the relevant City booking process instead of assuming that every field is available for drop-in use. Keep dogs leashed unless signs for the specific area explicitly allow otherwise; this guide does not claim an off-leash designation.
The spray park is one seasonal part of the park
The City’s features page identifies a spray park and directs visitors to its live spray-park status information. City spray parks are seasonal, weather-dependent facilities, typically operating from mid-June into the warmer months. They are not bookable, and they can close temporarily for maintenance or water-quality checks.
Use the current status rather than an old photograph or a general park opening time to decide whether water play is available. The existing Canmore Park Spray Park listing describes that amenity; it is not a replacement for this whole-park guide.
Winter skating and seasonal facilities
The City places the seasonal outdoor rink in the northeast corner, between the tennis courts and the baseball field. Its features page describes benches, picnic tables, fire pits and geo-domes associated with the rink. Opening depends on weather and ice preparation; no fixed opening date is promised here.
Check the City’s current rink status before packing skates. Washrooms and water fountains are listed as seasonal, and the public-washroom directory identifies the spray-park washroom as a summer facility with winter closure. An open pathway or a winter rink listing should not be read as a guarantee that this washroom is operating.
