Montgomery, Calgary: community centre and neighbourhood resources

Montgomery Community Association is the operator to contact for the neighbourhood’s community centre. It places the centre at the corner of 16 Avenue NW and Home Road. For demographic research, use the City’s Montgomery profile alongside, not instead of, the operator’s current program and facility information.

Start with the centre operator

Montgomery Community Association says it oversees the operation of the Montgomery Community Centre. Its website provides membership, volunteer, facility-rental and event information, with a separate facility-booking link. Use those operator channels to confirm what is available now.

The association publishes 403-247-3116 as its contact number. Before travelling, confirm the program’s location and arrival instructions: the neighbourhood, a community centre and an individual rented space are not interchangeable destinations. Office hours are not automatically the hours for a class or private booking.

Make a useful hall-rental enquiry

Give the operator a date, expected attendance and a description of the activity. Ask which room is available, the total hire period including setup, and the charges and cancellation terms. For catering or alcohol, get the applicable rules from the operator rather than inferring permission from the existence of a hall.

If a guest needs step-free access or an accessible washroom, ask about the actual entrance and room being offered. Check parking and drop-off instructions for your event. This guide does not publish a room capacity, rental price or availability claim because those details need a current operator confirmation.

Membership, volunteering and local activities

The association’s website links membership and volunteer opportunities. Start there if you want to meet neighbours or help with a local activity, then check the requirements for that particular role or program. Membership should not be treated as automatic registration in every activity.

For a neighbourhood concern, describe the location and issue clearly when contacting the association. It is a local organization, not a substitute for the City’s authority over municipal services or planning decisions. Use the City’s own records for technical boundary questions.

Keep demographic facts and current conditions separate

The City’s Montgomery page links the community profile and a separate population projection. Its community profiles use the 2021 Census of Canada and cover people living in private households, rather than all collective dwellings. A projection is not a later census count.

Use those documents for dated demographic context. For a move, verify the address-specific school designation, travel route and property details independently. No school ranking, current affordability comparison or promise of commute time is established by the sources used here.
