The shop focuses on fresh-cut meats sourced mostly from Alberta suppliers, including lamb from Innisfail, local beef, free-range chickens near Okotoks, and turkeys from Dalemead. Veal comes from Quebec. Specialties include bison, elk, boar, rabbit, and free-range poultry, all wrapped in kraft paper and tied with twine. It's known for hot meat pies, made with a 70-year-old cast iron machine, such as steak-and-kidney and pork varieties. Bon Ton maintains an old-fashioned approach, providing personalized service from start to finish without online sales or modern retail trends. The 7,000-square-foot store in Crowfoot Centre employs around 30 staff. It also offers deli items like salads with creamy dressing, sauces, and spices, with staff available for suggestions. BBB accredited since May 18, 2005, with an A+ rating. Hours are Monday to Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
