Private Schools

Private schools may offer a more structured curriculum along with higher academic expectations. Some of these schools specialize in a particular area, such as technology, athletics, arts, or provide a basic core of subjects. Private schools are not funded through the local educational tax base. These organizations are funded by only these 3 sources: provincial general revenues, tuition or instruction fees paid by parents, and private fund raising. About 6.2% of students attend private schooling.
