Here’s some useful information and resources to help you decide what camp or program is right for you or your children. Calgary offers a large variety of supervised camps. Some of these provide specialized activities such as performing arts, technology, science, sports, outdoor adventures, music and more. Several of these organisations are city wide while others are administered at a local community level. These programs can further your Childs educational, cultural development, self esteem and confidence. Summer camps may allow children to step out and do things they never thought possible in a safe and nurturing environment.

3 Calgary Locations. Alien In-Line Skate Camp expert instructors will provide a fun summer camp experience for kids 6-8 and 9-12 years of age! Basic skating skills are introduced and reviewed so all can enjoy camp activities at a similar level. Original & fun AIL games on skates are incorporated to build and further develop skills. Unique tricks and special skating skills are taught. Traditional camp activities will also be incorporated. The Art Camp at the beautiful Bankview Community Center equipped with modern playground is great opportunity for the children to have fun, to develop skills, passion and confidence in drawing and painting. Step by step instructions will be provided, the kids will have the opportunity to explore different techniques including oil pastels, watercolors and painting with acrylics. All the art supplies will be provided. The projects will include drawing and painting animals, cartoons, portraits, landscapes and abstract.

The Caltaf Summer Camp is designed to introduce athletes between the ages of 6 and 14 to the sport of track and field while at the same time developing fundamentals of the sport and a general foundational level of fitness that will benefit these young athletes in all aspects of their lives. Athletes will work through half day sessions that will provide an exciting mix of technical practice, games and other fun activities. The focus will be on learning the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing as well as developing speed and agility using age appropriate progressions.

The Pumphouse Theatre Drama Day Camp is a great introduction to drama basics. Participants, aged 7-15, one and two week sessions, July 9th to August 31st. Learn through the dramatic arts to gain confidence, make friends and have fun! Each day is divided into classes which cover a variety of topics like physical theatre, prop-making, scene study, and acting. Participants also work with their instructors and create a play to be performed for friends and family.

Soccer Camps. The Royal City Soccer Club (RCSC) is a non-profit, community organization started in 1993. For 25 years, we’ve hosted unique soccer camp experiences for over 300,000 boys and girls between ages 5 and 13 years. Our soccer camps are the largest grassroots soccer camp in Canada with over 100 locations across Canada. The popularity of our camps is not only due to our program structure but also because of the great staff we have at our camps. Our camp operates Monday to Friday in July and August. Junior Shred Camp (Ages 8 to 10 years old) and Youth Shred Camp (Ages 11 to 13 years old). Junior Kids will partake in surf-inspired fitness classes, beach related arts and crafts, water fight fun, drama and other age-appropriate games and activities with a focus on health and fitness. Youth will participate in surf-inspired fitness classes with boxing sessions along with drama, age appropriate games, and arts & crafts. This half-day camp will focus on health and fitness in a fun surf-themed setting. SURFSET YYC t-shirt will be given to all campers. Bring a water bottle and a healthy snack each day.
