Community Arenas

There are arenas that are located throughout the City of Calgary. These facilities offer ice time for various activities such as hockey, public skating and figure skating. They’re also available to rent for non-ice activities such as shinny hockey, roller hockey, lacrosse and ball hockey. Arenas can be booked for afterschool programs, skating parties, sporting events or special occasions. Contact the individual facility for more information and their available services.

Frank McCool Arena is available for bookings from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week during prime hockey season (October through March). Requests outside of these hours will be considered. Adjacent to the arena is Frank McCool Athletic Park.

Max Bell Centre, with its large spectator viewing areas, is an ideal venue for large hockey games and other sporting events, as well as trade shows, meetings and more. Conveniently located off Deerfoot Trail in central south east Calgary, Max Bell Arenas are available for bookings from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week during prime hockey season (October through March). Requests outside of these hours will be considered.

 

Murray Copot Arena

Murray Copot Arena is available for bookings from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week during prime hockey season (October through March). Requests outside of these hours will be considered. The Thornhill Aquatic & Recreation Centre can be found next door.

 

Optimist and George Blundun Arenas

Requests outside of these hours will be considered. These arenas are located in Southwest Calgary in the community of Glendale, next to the arenas is Optimist Athletic Park.

 

Rose Kohn and Jimmie Condon Arenas

These clean and well kept facilities host minor and adult ice sport leagues. Jimmie Condon Arena is dedicated to figure skating, public and senior skate. Rose Kohn and Jimmie Condon Arenas are available for bookings from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week during prime hockey season (October through March). Requests outside of these hours will be considered.

 

Shouldice Arena

This clean and well kept facility hosts minor and adult ice sport leagues. Shouldice Arena is available for bookings from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week during prime hockey season (October through March). Requests outside of these hours will be considered. In addition, from April through September dry pad bookings may be available to accommodate lacrosse or ball hockey. The Shouldice Athletic Park is next door offering multi-sport playfields for rentals and bookings, and Shouldice Aquatic and Fitness Centre is located nearby.

 

Stew Hendry and Henry Viney Arenas

Stu Peppard Arena

Stu Peppard Arena is available for bookings from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week during prime hockey season (October through March). Requests outside of these hours will be considered. The Glenmore Aquatic & Fitness Centre, Lakeview Golf Course and Glenmore Athletic Park, complete with Track & Field facilities and playing fields are also at this location making this a fun family fitness destination.

 

Village Square Arenas

Village Square Arena 1 and Arena 2 are available for bookings from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week during prime hockey season (October through March). Requests outside of these hours will be considered. Village Square Arena #1 and Arena #2 are fully serviced indoor ice arenas located in the Village Square Leisure Centre.
