The Bow river boat launch, located near 22x highway in south Fish Creek Provincial Park has an excellent parking lot and good size launch ramp. The launch is mainly used by fly fisherman’s drift boats floating downstream to Policeman’s flats(launch), McKinnon flats(launch), Legacy(Launch) and Caresland (Launch). Watercraft with motors are not allowed in the City of Calgary. This boat launch is one of the best river launches found in Alberta. Access is closed after 10pm. Nearby communities include Lake Sundance, Lake Midnapore and McKenazie Lake.
